Stealing for home

Am stealing ethernet from a nearby printer for my iBook as I work diligently on building my last computer for the day. Has been a v. busy week.

The trip up was nice. A little cloudy and overcast when I left, but the further north I came, the sunnier it became. I made the three hour trip without stopping once this time. Was v. pleased by this.

I’m afraid what my scale is going to say when I get back. I did manage to find some fairly healthy food during my visit, however tonight and Tuesday night I may have overindulged slightly. At the very least, I hope I’ve maintained status quo and not gained anything back.

I haven’t really had much downtime since I’ve been in CT, but the iBook has been a godsend in that respect because I’ve been surfing and playing old SNES games by turns when I do. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve started the unofficial English translation of Final Fantasy V; this time I’m determined to see it through to the end, and being able to play on the go like this is a tremendous help. There’ll be time enough to do serious work on the iBook once I’m back home. Right now, what little free time I have is *my* time, damnit!

I’ve made quite a bit of progress during this trip, but I’m really looking forward to coming home again tomorrow. If I get to leave early enough, perhaps I’ll stop at the Lambertville Trading Station for a frothy beverage of some sort in Lambertville, NJ and read for a spell before the last leg of the journey home. It’ll be nice to sleep in my own bed again.

One more day…
