Major accomplishments of our time

I’ve just about fully moved in to hub.org now and recreated my movable type installation. The site was down for a period of time, and then it looked like it was back up, but if you tried to kick the tires you found that it was just a static page and there was nothing going on. Everything is working again, however, but since I’ve changed databases from mysql to postgresql the short history of this site is gone, so it’s a fresh new start for wanderingstar.net. No big deal really.

As always, there were some issues with the installation of Movable Type, but I managed to figure them out in pretty short order. Well, except for this one weird login issue, which may or may not still be an issue. Happily, I think I’m really starting to get the hang of this Unix stuff though.

Also, I was amused because I saw the first robin of the year yesterday — hopping around in the snow. That would have been a picture worth keeping, but the little blighter flitted away before I could snap a pic.

Anyway, now that I have everything set up on my new webhost, I think I’ll finally get around to finishing the design of this site soon. I only ever tweaked the front page, and there are a whole bunch of interesting things I want to do, so keep your eyes open.

Straight from the fridge, daddy-o.
